Curt Crofford

Based in Dallas, Curt is a Managing Director for Pennington Creek Capital responsible for sourcing, conducting due diligence on and closing new transactions. Once acquired, Curt works closely with management teams to drive the best possible outcome for shareholders. Curt has 20 years of private equity experience and nearly 30 years of capital markets experience.

Prior to joining Pennington Creek in February 2024, Curt spent 19 years working for Hicks Equity Partners, the family office and private equity firm of Thomas O. Hicks. Curt began his career in New York and London as an equity research analyst covering international media companies at Bankers Trust, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.

Originally from Houston, Curt graduated from Vanderbilt University and received his MBA from Duke University.

Curt enjoys spending time with his wife, three kids and two yellow labs. His exercise of choice is sweating it out at Ritual One Yoga. Curt also sits on the board of directors of Drilling Tools International, a publicly-traded oilfield services company, and CareerSpring, a nationwide organization that democratizes access and information to jobs for low income and first-generation college students.
